Learning the drums
Hitting the drums tap tap tap
How do I learn this instrument ?
I need a teacher to teach me how to play.
At last I found a teacher!
Better than any drummer I’ve ever seen!
Fast as a cheetah skilled like a warrior .
Sounds like thunder when he plays
Looks like he has multiple arms when he plays
Feels like an earthquake when he hits the bass drum.
I hope that he will teach me so I can learn to play
I cannot wait to play for I am very anxious.
When he teaches me I’ll be better than I am now.
It’s been 3 years I am better than I ever was.
My teacher has taught me well,
But I still need to learn more.
I have gotten extremely good in my perspective,
I wish I could get better.
I hope that one day I’ll be as good as my teacher
But until then I’ll just keep getting better.

I remember when I had my first Mountain Dew. The lime green can shimmering within sunlight filled water droplets.
Freezing on a warm day it will go to waste if not consumed.
As I stare into the heavenly letters it calls to me, urges me to just take one sip but soon after,
impossible to resist another.
An addiction, and a weakness,
a hobby, and enjoyment,
a master, and a servant.
Hating the addiction but loving the taste,
I am mentally shackled, but physically in control.
I love Mountain Dew,
but cannot get rid of it.

Der Mond
The lone wanderer
Lifeless,
Lonely,
Orbits through unwary voids.
Hoping to one day to find the light
Der Mond
Phases through emotions like the phases of Der Mond.
Drifting slowly away from the rest of the world
Helpless, desperately seeking guidance, Structure.
Der Mond
Shackled within invisible chains
Unbreakable,
Inescapable,
A tranquil prisoner waiting for death until I’m set free.
Der Mond
Sometimes in life
Some bad times might hit
Like craters on a clear surface
But Der Mond won’t stop orbiting
Until I’m set free.
This poem represents my journey through life and how that so far its felt like the same thing over and over again.“Der Mond” means The Moon in German, and what I mean by until I’m set free is saying until I die. The moon represents me because we both have the same daily routine just back and forth extremely unsatisfying but I’ve gotten use to it.

Lord Baltimore.
This story I read taught me about diligence and determination. And how, Cecilius Calvert and his fearless crew went on to journey to the new land and never gave up. Which makes me realize, if I have a lot of determination I can make myself do better in school?
Cecilius Calvert was born in Kent, England on August 8, 1605, and it was on this day that the second Lord Baltimore had been born. His father Sir George Calvert, and his mother lady Anne Mynne, they were a Roman Catholic family. In his early life, as Cecilius started college at Oxford University, He entered Trinity College and was admitted to Gray’s inn. Cecilius married Anne Arundell Daughter of the 1st Baron Arundell of Wardour. They had nine children, but only three of them made it to adulthood including Charles Calvert, 3rd Baron Baltimore.
Lord Baltimore, a Roman Catholic, struggled to maintain possession of Maryland
The English civil war by trying to convince parliament of his loyalty by Choosing a
Protestant, William Stone, as his governor. Baltimore lost control of the colony for a brief
Period however, due to Puritan pressure during the rule of Oliver Cromwell. He regained
the colony in 1657, after signing a treaty with Virginia governor Richard Bennett. His son Charles Calvert took over power when Cecilius died on November 30, 1675 at 70.

Anger
Smells like Burning Forests.
Tastes like the hottest pepper.
Sounds like the war cries of battle.
Feels like your eyes are so flaming they will melt from their sockets.
Feels like the devil holding your hands closed in a fist.
Feels like your only emotion lonely as it is will prevail victorious over all others.

THE SCHOOL LOTTERY GIFT
In Fourth grade at my elementary school .after we were finished with all of our school work with nothing else to do .At the end of the each school year we would be able to participate in the school lottery .The school lottery was a place where you guess a number one out of one hundred.
And then when you got it right you could win a prize .But if you got it wrong then you would have to wait till the next day to get the prize .And so when I tried I got it right two times in a row .And so I had won two gifts, a ceramic bear with a golf club and ceramic family of pigs.
And so proud of my achievements I had to wait to go home very satisfied .I couldn’t stand the anticipation and excitment of the bus ride home .And when I got home I gave both of my gifts to my mom.
